Wondering what I've been up to since my last post?
I've been working on this wreath.
...No, seriously.
Yup, that wreath!
(Which will otherwise be known as the wreath that isn't coming off my door until after Valentine's Day!)
Each felt rose was made using this tutorial from Amy at Positively Splendid. It's made up of about 10 individually cut petals plus a rolled centerpiece. This wreath has 82 roses on it.
Let's do the math, shall we!
82 roses x 11 petals each = 902 hand cut felt pieces
902 hand cut piece + 58 glue sticks + 1 exhausted glue gun + 1 crazy lady = 1 very beautiful Christmas rose wreath
My favorite part about this wreath is the bow!

Not just because my bow-making skills are improving but I also glued an alligator clip onto the back of it. After Christmas is over (and probably after the Ducks play in the Rose Bowl!), I'll change out the bow to maybe blue or white or silver.
Because seriously, this wreath isn't coming off my front door for a looooooooong time.
Wow, now that is one beautiful wreath. I am amazed at the amount of love that went into it. So gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat wreath is stunning! Ive always admired these kind of wreaths.. but do not have the patiences to make all those flowers just for a wreath! LOL So kudos to you, its seriousl so gorgeous! And if it were me.. I wouldnt wanna take it off my door either!! With all the work put it, I'd use it as often as I could! :) Wonderful work! Im jealous, I want one! :)

Yes, you are a crazy lady indeed. But that is really really beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteYou could make a blue and white bow for it and use it for all the patriotic holidays. Memorial Day, 4th of July, Veteran's day, September 11, etc... just leave it up year 'round.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty btw, good job :)
That is beautiful! You did a lot of hard work and I am so impressed... then you had to go and mention the Ducks...argh! I am Beaver... yet my kids are Ducks fans and they have never even lived in Oregon. Oh well, I forgive you =)

ReplyDeleteYou have some stamina girl friend, 82 roses. Worth it though, so beautiful and well worth a feature this week at Bacon Time. Hugs and happy holidays.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it! And I totally think your Ducks deserve the win now... As soon as I saw the post title, I was thinking there might be a Rose Bowl connection. If only I could think of a nice little Orange Bowl connection for a new Tigers wreath! : )

ReplyDeleteI was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
ReplyDeleteliver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
