We're Not Alcoholics, I Swear!!!

We just happen to like our whiskey...

Or maybe that's just me. (ABF is under Dr.'s orders not to imbibe.)

Amazing Boyfriend and I decided to make another whiskey bottle lamp. Last year in April, we showed you how to make your own lamp from a whiskey bottle, but if you missed that post you can find it here.

This time we used a Pendleton Whiskey bottle, which took a little bit more modification since the cap for the bottle is cork, but ABF figured it all out with an extra part from the hardware store.

But the best part is the little addition I made to the lamp shade!

Pretty awesome, right?

In case you're not a drunk like me you didn't know, the silhouette is the bronco and cowboy that's on the Pendleton whiskey bottle. I painstakingly cut it out by hand because I couldn't find a clear enough image to use with my awesome Silhouette machine.

Yeah, I might have needed a drink after something such a tedious endeavor...

just kidding...

maybe...

(hey, I have to get the bottles to make these lamps somehow!)

I was featured!!!

  9. I LOVE this lamp!! Was just curious as to what the extra part was that made this work compared to the Crown bottle?? Also, did you just drill a hole through the cork?? Would love to try and make one of these for my brother! Thanks for your help!
    Thanks, Erin

  10. Love it! I've got a ton, uh, a few Pendelton bottles that I've been trying to decide what to use them for and I think I found it! What was the extra part that was needed to make the lamp functional?
