The Halloween crafting has officially begun.
I made it official by hanging my Halloween wreath on our front door.
To make my wreath, I got a grapevine wreath form (on sale!) and spray painted it with Kyrlon's pumpkin orange. While I was waiting for that to dry, I took my letters and painted and glittered them, then did an overcoat of mod podge to keep the glitter from flaking off. I made the spider web inside the wreath form with hemp twine. The spiders I got from the dollar store! I put everything together with my trusty glue gun, Debra.
more Halloween decor coming to this area soon! |
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love decorating for it, but since we live with Amazing Boyfriend's parents, he did suggest that I ask his Mom first before going ahead and making things to decorate with. Her response when I asked her was, "I have decorations, but I'm sure you could come up with something so much better then what I have. Go ahead and make whatever you want."
I like the sound of that!
Has everyone else started on their Halloween or fall crafting?
