I got a comment from a friend the other day that was a little surprised that I hadn't made any Halloween themed pillows (since everyone should know how much I love making pillows!)
To be completely honest, I really wasn't planning on making any Halloween pillows because I've been super busy with birthday/Christmas/top secret projects. (Have I ever mentioned that between Oct 4th and Jan 4th I have 15 birthdays in my family? 15!!!)
But then I saw this ADORABLE Halloween plaque from @ Confessions of a Clearance Shopper and knew I needed to make something that had that cute little saying on it.
So of course, I made it into a pillow!
I used left over fabric from my witchy dish towels and stenciled the words on with fabric paint and fabric glitter. Then I sewed it all together with an envelope enclosure on the back.
Since most of my decorative Halloween projects have been for the outside of our house, I felt like it would be nice to have something a little festive in our room, too!
I actually have big plans for this pillow. I've been toying around with the idea of having one pillow that I can change out the pillow covers according to the seasons/holidays and that's what this pillow is going to be. So you'll have to stay tuned to see what cover I put on this pillow next...

ReplyDeleteI did the same thing with my autumn leaves pillow - I told my mom she can simply take the cover off and put a new one on each season. If I get around to making her one, of course...
