My niece is getting married!
Yup, you read that right. My oldest niece, Ronnica is getting married.
Of course I had to come with with an awesome wedding gift for the occasion. I mean, she'll only get married once. (Hopefully.)
I tried really hard to come up with something cute, and clever, and a bit quirky, since that basically describes this couple in a nutshell. I've seen so many great ideas out there in blogland that I had a hard time deciding on one. But then I figured it out (and Amazing Boyfriend even approved!)...
Mr. and Mrs. Pillows!!!
Pretty cute, right?
I've seen many different versions of these all over the place, I'm not even sure who to give credit for the great idea. Some version had graphics and some with just the words. I liked the wordy version better.
I fabric painted the words onto muslin using a freezer paper stencil I cut with my awesome Silhouette machine. Then sewed them together, making an envelope opening in the back to make them easy to wash.
I think this makes a pretty unique wedding present, don't you?
P.S. Congratulations Ronnica and Justin! Best wishes on your new life together!
